It's a bitch convincing people to like you
If I stop now call me a quitter
If lies were cats you'd be a litter
Pleasing everyone isnt like you
Dancing jigs until I'm crippled
Slug ten drinks I won't get pickled
I've got to hand it to you
You play for all the same rules
It takes the truth to fool me
And now you've make me angry
I can't decide whether you should live or die
Oh you'll probably go to heaven
Please don't hang your head and cry
No wonder why my heart feels dead inside
Cold and Hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
I'm going for a ride
Oh I could throw you in the lake,
Or feed you poisoned birthday cake,
I wont deny I'm gonna miss you when you're gone
Oh I could bury you alive
But you might crawl out with a knife
And kill me when I'm sleeping that's why.
Scissor Sisters - I Can't Decide
Found the lyrics of this song really funny, especially the last verse; and its happy tune is such an irony.
Once again we reach the end of another year. End of 2006, on to 2007. Brand new year, brand new start, brand new set of challenges. But why don't I feel anything? I don't know whether I should feel excited, or sad, or anxious, or... Maybe I just feel
ambivalent (as taught by Toh Toh). Maybe the reason I feel nothing is because I don't have school on 3rd Jan. Muahahah. So it continues to feel like a holiday. Hmmm. A simple countdown this year, I also don't really feel like welcoming 2007 with a big bang. 2007 just means I'm going to be one year older. (n..i..n..e..t..e..e.....) Darn its so difficult to even spell that out. AH whatever, I feel like I'm going to become an old hag with dark eye rings and winkles and a pancake face. -.-
Anyway, should I do a set of New Year resolutions even though I never fulfil them? Ok I shall. Here goes:
1. Become more involved in church, go for mission trip '07, join the music and evangelistic ministry and get back to playing that organ! (A'levels has turned me rusty.. :( )
2. Exercise! Get healthy! Eat less carbo! Slim down to 42kg! Get rid of thunder thighs, pancake face...
3. Never promise anything that I'm not sure that I can fulfil.
4. More family time, now that my bro's overseas I have a duty to keep my parents company so they don't feel lonely :P
5. Be more careful and thrifty with money (now I seem to be spending money like drinking water.. post-christmas sales you see)
6. Spend more time with friends :) And get in touch with peeps whom I haven't met for a long long time..
7. Cope and do well in school (university I hope), listen in lectures, take notes blah blah
8. Pick up at least one new skill! (eg. driving, scuba-diving etc) or do something daring eg. bungee jumping, backpacking..
9. Participate in more community-involvement programmes like OCIP!
10. A fun-filled, eventful, meaningful and enjoyable 2007 :D
YAY done. Shall review it again on 31st Dec 2007. If this blog still exists. Alright 2007, BRING IT ON! And HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE READING THIS!!
/EDIT
Forgot to mention, bought these 2 books from MPH yesterday. :) Because they were on discount!
The Time Traveler's Wife and
Inheritance of Loss. I saw Mitch Albom's
For One More Day, but it was $32.90! Gosh, expensive book. Anyway I heard these two books are really good.. can't wait to start on them! :D
And I can't believe I cried when my brother called from Canada. I guess I just missed him too much. :(
All it took was a smile.

So after a week of gruelling shopping for bags, passport holders, winter clothings and whatnots, my brother has flown off last night to Canada for his overseas attachment. 6 months! Quite a long period of time, but everyone at the airport were saying that time will just fly past. And I guess it does, here I am completed with my JC life and going on to university already. I feel
damn old. And it doesn't help much that my birthday is just next month. :'( I'm an OLD old hag. Anyway, it was heartwarming seeing all the church people there last night, joking with my brother that he'll bring a Canadian girlfriend back and all.. and just being there for him despite the rain and travelling distance. Then Bro Matt prayed for us, and my mom actually cried after his prayer, lol. It was pretty emotional although we were all trying to put on smiling faces for my brother. Especially when he went through the departure gates and we were all at the glasspane waving as many times as we could. Oh well, I'll miss you
alot, bro :)
Anyway had a stayover Christmas party with the Hotbeans at Weilin's place on the 26th. :D Slept at 5am in the end, but that's what stayovers are for right? Watched Final Destination and the lamest and very disturbing Date Movie. Played pool, games, ice breakers though we didn't need any icebreaking, gift exchange (I loved my gift, Eliz! And hope you liked mine too ;)) and food food FOOD! Alright, shall let the pictures do the talking :)
Our logcake! :D
Gift exchange :)Yay, I LOVE you guys to bits!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 A heart for each one of you! LOL, ok lame.
P/S. To Wendy and Lydia, I'm so
SO sorry about last night. I know it isn't the first time, and I promise there won't be a next time alright? I will check properly before promising you guys anything.. Its all my fault :( Forgive me pls?
All it took was a smile.

I'm
EXHILARATED. Why? Because
MUSE IS FINALLY COMING TO SINGAPORE!! And I've bought their tix!!
At an early bird price of $85. Concert price would be at $110. :D :D Ahhh I'm so excited for the concert. I'm sure it's gonna be a BLAST and worth every dollar. Joo, if you're reading this can I come along with ya for the concert? Because none of my close friends are fans of Muse.. :(
And.. I've also bought my favourite ADIDAS jacket!
It was love at first sight.. heh. Saw it with Wendy at Suntec last week and couldn't stop thinking about it. So I bought it today! Heh.
The last 2 nights were spent at class chalet. :D Really a fun-filled time of chatting, playing cards and charades all night long, watching DVDs... got to know the class people much more. :) Thought the first night was lovely.. Vera and I went down to the beach for a walk and there were so many stars that night! Then we saw not 1, not 2, but FOUR shooting stars! OMG. Hurriedly made a wish on the 2nd shooting star, haha. I've never seen a shooting star before, so I feel damn lucky to have seen 4 that night! And then had a drink with the other girls at the Blue Hut, drank Barcadi lime and Kesther became drunk just drinking 1/5 of it LOL. The next night was the BBQ, was kinda nice to see Mrs Gay after quite some time.. but seeing her reminds me of the A'Level results. =S Watched Silent Hill, very exciting show but got cut off at the end because the player couldn't read the DVD anymore -.- So didn't get to watch the ending. But such a pity we didn't get to cycle! Even wanted overnight cycling but due to rain the first day and waking up super late the next day, we couldn't. Oh welllll hope there's a next time! We should have more class gatherings.. FUN!
Last Wednesday Wendy, Lydia and I went to the zoo. Haven't been to the zoo since primary school I think, we saw Jean Danker! When we were having a break and eating Ben and Jerry's. :D I LOVE Ben and Jerry's. Anyway we saw my favourite PENGUINS!
Super duper
cute these birds are.. reminds me of HAPPY FEET! And saw one penguin that kept yawning and almost topple over, hilarious! But it was a rainy day man, couldn't watch the Animal Friends show because of the rain! :( I think I have a
love-hate relationship with the rain. I love it when it rains when I'm snuggled up in bed with a good book; but abhore it when I'm out without an umbrella or in a really bad mood. The rain kinda foreshadows my mood.. often I find that it rains whenever I'm grumpy, heh.
Anyway, we also found a hardworking crocodile.
The MUGGER crocodile. LOL. Doesn't look very hardworking though. And I got so
wuliao at the Fragile Forest that I chased these ducks along the whole trek.
These ducks have got to be the most spoilt ducks ever. They didn't even try to fly away or escape when I chased them. They just waddled faster when I walked faster, and then waddled slower when I slowed down. -.- Lazy things, lol. And found this sign cute..
Kangaroo Crossing! Wanted to feed them, but had to pay $5 for the food so we decided not to, heh. Another of my favourite animals! :) I remember feeding baby kangaroos with milk bottles in Australia a long time ago and that's when I fell in love with them, haha. And then we fed the pigs too!
When I see them I think of pork. Talking about pork, I finally ate at
New York New York with Wendy last Tue! :D PORK LASAGNA. One of their bestsellers and it's very good.
And then we met up with Lydia that night for Marina steamboat! :D That girl just came back from Japan that day, reminds me of last year when I went. I miss Japan and Taiwan
SO so much still, sigh. I want to go back! -sobs. Nvm, shall wait for Bangkok with family and Genting with Wendy and Lydia next year! :D I just LOVE holidays..... ok, who doesn't?
And... THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IS IN THE AIR! Now its time to remind ourselves of what Christmas is really all about.. the birth of our Savior and a time of thanksgiving and joy with family! :D I just love hearing the wonderful Christmas carols everywhere and seeing the light-ups in town and the sense of celebration lingering everywhere..
Christmas isn't Christmas till it happens in your heart :)Alright, this is one loooong entry. I find that I get bored really easily. Like now. I better find a job for next year soon! Most prolly going to Wingtai to look for a job or perhaps some admin job if I want a better pay. But I think I'm going more for the experience rather than for the moolah. :) And I better get my driving license SOON! Shall go read finish my library book now, they are due tomorrow! Guess I gotta re-loan one of them..
All it took was a smile.

I'M BACK FROM TAIWAN! And suffering from post-Taiwan syndrome. :`( I miss Taiwan already!! Actually more of the people in my tourgroup rather than the country; such as the super-
juai tourguide (his name is actually
Xiao Cai a.k.a. small vegetable), the crazy boys (in which the craziest eventually became my godbro!), the two girls I hang out with the most when shopping and at the themepark, the sweet old couples.. actually simply everyone in the tour. In my opinion,
Xiao Cai's one of the best tourguides ever. Its really difficult to put everything that happened during the past 7 days down in words, but I gotta say I became much more independent the past few days because there was only me and my mother! We were the only family without men in the tour. We had to carry and take care of our heavy luggages, watch out for ourselves when crossing the road (Taiwan roads are crazy), make sure we leave nothing behind after checking out every hotel.. but it was pretty fun touring with my mother. Though we get on each other's nerves once in a while, haha but that's normal la. I think the tour would be
very different if my dad and bro came along. And oh yeah, I think I spoke the most amount of chinese ever in my life during the past 7 days. Even my mom agrees, LOL.
Advertisement time!
If you look like Jolin Tsai or just interested in this pirated version of Jay Chou above, feel free to comment below! LOL. This is my godbro! :D How did he become my godbro? He simply asked my mother out of a sudden if she could be his godma and so ta-daa, he become my
gan di. He loves to sing
Xiao Wei, but it is strongly adviseable to put on your ear-plugs whenever he does that. He loves to go
Woo! in your face, stand beside you a long time until you notice him, shake his butt when catwalking down the street and then turn back to give that 'sexy' look to seduce you, dance with his handphone blasting music, wave at you randomly..... so with him around you'll never be bored that I can assure you. But gotta admit, he's a super sweet guy, always offering to carry shopping bags and even following me upstairs to get my mother's watch. A really good
gan didi! Hee. Proud to have him as my godbro.
Anyway, I'll just sum up the whole tour by putting down what I'll miss most about the trip :)
I'll miss the whole pigging out thing (eat, sleep on the bus, eat again, back to the bus)
I'll miss the karaoke sessions on the bus (though my godbro's version of
Xiao Wei was horrible, lol)
I'll definitely miss the shopping
I'll miss the Taiwan snacks! (mua chee, oyster mee sua, delicious fishball soup, icecream peanut popiah.. ahh just all of them)
I'll miss the colourful streets
I'll miss hanging out with the
jiemeis
I'll miss the lovely wind and Genting-like weather
I'll miss all the lame jokes shared with the boys and girls in the grp
I'll miss the super cute and pretty 2-yr old girl in the tourgrp
I'll miss the swimming 'teaching' and competition session during our stay at
Dao Ming Si's house
I'll miss the hot spring!
I'll miss
Xiao CaiI'll miss my godbrother and his family
AH.. a truly unforgettable trip. :) Am now trying very hard to adapt to S'pore again. Thank goodness the weather is cooling now, heh. We are very lucky, because right after we visited Chiufen and the Taroke Gorge, Taiwan banned entry into these places because it was too dangerous. There was even a tour bus accident in Chiufen during our trip. Thanks to our amazing driver, we came out all safe and sound. Overall, thank God for bringing us all back to S'pore in one piece!
Taiwan elections are today! Hee, came back just before their elections. There were banners and posters EVERYWHERE during our trip. And we even saw firecrackers! They are legal in Taiwan. Learnt alot about Taiwan's history and politics too.
Using 马 from 马英九 + 扁 from 陈水扁 = 骗 , heh. If you can't see the chinese words I was saying using Ma from Ma YingJiu + Bian from Chen Shui Bian = Pian (bluff)
Alright! PICTURES SOON! Imagestation is giving problems, RAH!!

Photos up at flickr! :) Click on the first photo to start viewing and don't use slideshow if you wanna know about the places visited alright?
